Workwear - workwear clothing is traditionally associated with trades people, going out on the job and engaging with customers face-to-face. It can help increase brand awareness and communicate the professionalism of the company they represent.

Call centre staff largely deal with customers by telephone, either by making or receiving calls. Therefore, many of the associated benefits of workwear are not necessarily transferable for companies operating their call centres. However, uniforms and dress codes still exist in many office-based environments, including call centres, because of some of the additional advantages they provide.

One of the biggest attributes of answering the telephone in a call centre is being professional. If you feel those standards are not being reached at the moment, introducing a uniform could help. Allowing staff to work in their own, often very casual, clothes can lead to a more relaxed attitude to their work, so by introducing a uniform or dress code they will be reminded of the significance of behaving appropriately - in this case, professionally - while at work.
